Colloquium Theme
CIGRE 2027 Tokyo Joint Colloquium of CIGRE Study Committee A3 (Transmission and Distribution Equipment) & B3 (Substations and Electrical Installations) will be held based on the three preferential subjects of “Resilience”, “Sustainability” and “Digital intelligence”.
The event will gather international experts and emphasise interactive discussion. To broaden participation, the colloquium uses a presentation-based format without full papers; participants submit short synopses for review to ensure discussion quality, encouraging young engineers and students to join.
This colloquium will be planned and managed by SC A3 & B3, but contributions from any SC that align with the following PSs and the above theme are welcome!
Venue (detail to be announced)
The venue for the Colloquium will be announced by the end of 2026.
Tokyo is Japan’s capital. It’s a special city where the latest technology exists alongside its long history and customs. The city is famous for its modern skyscrapers, but it also has historic landmarks like the Senso-ji Temple and the Meiji Shrine. The gardens and parks are beautiful and change with the seasons. October is one of the best months to visit Tokyo. The weather is mild and the skies are clear, making it the perfect time to explore the city.
